Allied Health Information Sessions At Chattanooga State

The Nursing and Allied Health Division at Chattanooga State offers monthly information sessions for students interested in a health care career. Most sessions last one hour and are not mandatory, but strongly recommended. Radiologic Technology, EMS, Health Information Management and Dental Assisting are programs that require attendance at a session.

Program directors will explain the process for applying to a program, what to expect once admitted, discuss job opportunities, and answer questions.

The Nursing and Allied Health Division will hold division-wide information sessions on Tuesday, Jan. 6. Dental Assisting, 8 a.m.; Dental Hygiene, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Radiologic Technology, 9 a.m.; Health Information Management and Pharmacy Technician, 10 a.m.; Health Sciences and Respiratory Care, 10:30 a.m.

The following program sessions are scheduled during January and February:
Emergency Medical Services, Jan. 7 and 21 and Feb. 4 and 18, 10 a.m., CBIH-134
Dental Assisting: Jan. 8 and Feb. 5, 5:30 p.m.; Feb. 9, 8 a.m., HSC-2028
Dental Hygiene: Jan. 15, 5 p.m., HSC-2031
Physical Therapist Assistant: Jan. 21, 3 p.m., HSC-2029
Radiologic Technology, Feb. 5, 5:30 p.m., HSC-2060
Nursing: Feb. 10, 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., HSC-1083
Occupational Therapy Assistant (RX TN), Feb. 10, 1 p.m., HSC-2088
Respiratory Care: Feb. 18, 3 p.m., HSC-2117
