Robert Trubee “Bob” Bedwell, 89, of Pikeville, TN, passed away on December 15, 2014.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He served in Okinawa during WWII. Bob enjoyed photography, gunsmithing, and was an avid firearms collector. Bob was a member and attended Calvary FWB Church. He retired from TDOC as a corrections officer. He was also a locksmith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Lola Bedwell; a brother; Charles Bedwell, Jr.; and 2 sisters, Derena Belg and Yvonne Byrd.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eva Bedwell; sons, Robert (Deborah) Bedwell both of Pikeville, TN and Timothy (Michelle) Bedwell, Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren; Tara (Gavin) Hall and Amanda (Kevin) Sullivan, both of Mesa, AZ, Ashley Bedwell, Yuma, AZ, Caitlyn Bedwell, Phoenix, AZ and Charlie Bedwell of Las Vegas, NV; great-grandchildren, Trevor and Jonathan Hall and Brooke Sullivan; one sister, Ramona (Jim) Gasson, Tuscon, AZ; special family members, Vonnette Cohorn Bedwell and Valerie Hahn Bedwell; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, December 18, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Phillip Luna and Rev. Freddie Savage officiating.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 17 from 5-9 p.m. Burial will be in the Bedwell Family Cemetery.
