Helton, Nancy Brown (Cleveland)

Nancy Brown Helton, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014.

She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir as a young woman. Nancy served as secretary of her Sunday School Class.

She was the daughter of the late Fred, Sr. and Adelia Brown; and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Helton Bruce; and her nephew, Keith Brown.

Survivors include her two grandchildren, Halley Carden and Matthew Bruce; two brothers and their wives, Fred, Jr. and Betty Brown of Cleveland and Clyde “Bit” and Barbara Brown of Brentwood; three nieces, Susan Butler of Cleveland, Dee Ann Stone of Brentwood and Joni DeBord of Knoxville; and several great-nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her generous spirit, Nancy donated her body to science.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 22, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Wickes officiating. 

Her family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 22 at the funeral home prior to the service.

The family requests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church, Manna Ministry, 
P.O. Box 2368, Cleveland, TN 37320-2368.

Fike Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
