Danny Wilmon
Danny Willmon, 70, died on Monday, December 15, 2014.
Danny attended Central High School, served in the 1/181st Field Artillery of the National Guard, and retired with 25 years of service with the Chattanooga Police Department. He was a member of East Brainerd Baptist Church.
Among his passions were coaching softball, entertaining family and friends, Saturday afternoons at Neyland Staduim, and anything with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ethel Willmon; sister, Billie Rogers; brothers, Bob and Howard Willmon.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Willmon; children, Julie (Roger) Lewis, Mark (Laura) Willmon, Danielle (Sam) Potter, Ashley (Zach) Shrum; brothers, Gary (Sandra) Willmon, Jim (Norma) Willmon; 10 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, in the funeral home chapel with Brian Squires and Mickey Bane officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
