Police Blotter: Undercover Officer Nabs 2 Women Who Respond To Escort Service Ad; Swindle Involves One-Sided Copy Of $50 Bill

An undercover officer said two women reported to a motel on Shallowford Road after he responded to an escort service ad on Backpage.

He said the women matched their photos in the ad.

They agreed to "full service sex" for $260.

The women, Holly Carney and Sabrina James, said they live at the Hamilton Inn. A search of their room there turned up meth, syringes, scales and baggies.

Ms. James, 36, was arrested on a probation violation.

An officer saw what appeared to be someone smoking a cigarette at the Brown Academy playground on E. 8th Street.

As the officer got closer the flame grew until it was about a  foot high. Then there was a small explosion.

It was found that a container of AXE body spray and a can of lighter fluid had been placed under a cardboard box.

There was no damage to the playground.

Walden Security called police when three boys were found hunting at a small body of water near the Baylor School campus.

Jeremy Moss, Joseph Rogers and Michael Goodwin said a game warden advised them they were on a tributary of the Tennessee River and could hunt there as long as they were at least 100 yards from any buildings.

An officer saw numerous cars outside the Escandalo Night Club on Rossville Boulevard at 3:20 a.m. - past closing time.

He said 20-30 people were inside drinking beer.

The operator said he had been trying to get them to leave, but he was soon putting away some beer.

Police said there have been frequent calls to the club, including a recent night when someone was caught selling cocaine in the restroom and there was a call about a large fight.

A woman said someone stole her Panasonic digital camera from her 2002 Toyota Camry that was parked in front of her house on Snow Street.

The thief pried open the driver's side door, causing $300 in damage.

William Russell said when he arrived for work at Brothers Automotive on N. Access Road he found a hole had been cut in the fence near the dumpster.

The intruder(s) had gone through all the customer vehicles. It was unknown what was taken from the vehicles.

A video showed two white males were the culprits.

The cost to repair the fence was $450.

Tommy Barkley said he has lived on Curtis Street for over 20 years and used to get 3-4 pieces of mail a week.

He said he only got 3-4 pieces of mail for the entire last year.

Postal officials said they did not know who was getting his mail and advised him to check with police.

Bryce Evans said his wallet was taken from his car while he was jogging at the South Chickamauga Creek Greenway at Harrison Pike.

He suspects a tall black male who was sitting at a table when he arrived "and looked like he didn't belong there."

He is missing $250 in $50 bills, his driver's license, gun permit and two bank cards.

Hao Chen said he was approached by a couple on Brainerd Road who asked for change for a $50 bill.

He obliged by giving the white female and black male a $20 and three $10s.

He was handed a photo copy of a $50 bill - printed on just the back side.
