CCS Hoopsters Split With Lookout Valley

The Chattanooga Christian School boys and girls basketball teams hosted Lookout Valley Tuesday night in the opening round of the CCS Thanksgiving tournament.  The Lookout Valley girls held on to beat CCS in the first game 61-56.  The Charger boy won the final game 56-47. 

Elexis Foster led Lookout Valley with 20 points.  The Lady Yellow Jackets jumped out to a 17-12 lead at the end of the first quarter.  CCS had cut the lead to 27-25 at the half. Lookout Valley maintained the led in the third quarter and held on in the final for the 61-56 win.

Beth Crownover and Annie Marr had 11 and 10 respectively for Lookout Valley.

CCS was led by Joanna Smith, who led all scorers with 32 points.  Addie Henry had eight for CCS. 

In the boys game, Will Patton had 19 points in a fast paced, back and forth game.  CCS led 32-19 at the half.  Lookout Valley closed the gap in the fourth quarter but never led. 

CCS will play LFO on Friday and Silverdale on Saturday. 

Lookout Valley will also play two more games, facing off with Silverdale Friday and LFO on Saturday.
