Shaun Townley
Chattanooga’s PBS station, WTCI, has been nominated for an Emmy Award by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, MidSouth Division. This year, Vice President of Content and Digital Strategy Shaun Townley and WTCI were nominated in the Promo Spot/Image category.

Mr. Townley, a Chickamauga native, is a vice president at WTCI, has served at Chattanooga’s PBS station since 2007 and worked previously in New York on the staff of Charlie Rose, a talk show. Mr. Townley was among 25 producers selected to attend the CPB/PBS Producer’s Academy in Boston in 2013. As vice president, Mr. Townley has spearheaded WTCI's local programming, included the development of a new series called Greater Chattanooga. The series of short films will explore the people and the ideas that "make us more aware, happier, and stronger as a community." Greater Chattanooga will premiere online and on the air in 2015.
Winners will be announced on Jan. 31 at the 29th Annual Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville. The awards ceremony will be streamed live at www.emmynashville.org.
