The Walker County Chamber of Commerce announced its slate of Executive, General and At Large Board Members for 2015.
The Chamber’s Board of Directors controls and manages the affairs and business of the Chamber. They act as a Board regularly convened by a majority, and they adopt such rules and regulations for the conduct of their meetings and the management of the Chamber of Commerce as they may deem proper. Government and policy making responsibilities of the Chamber are vested in the Board, which shall control its properties, be responsible for its finances and its affairs.
Executive Board Members will be Melissa Roden (Memorial Health Care System), chair; PR Cook (Shop-Rite), chair-elect; Chris Davis (Chris Davis – RE/MAX Real Estate Center), vice-chair; Bobby Teems (Teems & Teems Insurance and Realty), treasurer; Lacey Wilson (Blood Assurance), secretary; and Sherry Foster (City of Rossville), immediate past chair.
Those elected to the General Board of Directors are Penny Grigg (Nissin Brake Georgia, Inc.), Robert Hart (Chanticleer Inn Bed & Breakfast), Elijah Parker (First Volunteer Bank), Evitte Parrish (Capital Bank), Chip Rodgers (Jimmy Simpson Foundation), Brittany Sprayberry (Express Employment Professionals), Wil Stiles (Flegal Insurance, Inc.), Karen Walker (Walker County Government), Shannon Whitfield (Whitfield Oil Company, Inc.), Scott Skinner (Georgia Power Company), Damon Raines (Walker County Department of Education), Chip Catlett (Masonry Specialist), Jason Cox (Lane Funeral Home), Natalie Hunt (Community National Bank), and Gretchen Neal (Magnolia Place Décor, LLC).
Members at Large are appointed by the Chair and are elected for a twelve month term. Chair Melissa Roden has chosen Calvin Allmon (Edward Jones Investments), Vickie Hodge (Jimmy Simpson Foundation), and Cindy Scoggins (The Bank of LaFayette) as Members at Large for 2015.
Ex-Officio members of the Board of Directors include the Mayors of the Cities of Chickamauga, LaFayette, Lookout Mountain, Rossville as well as the County Commissioner.
