STEM Students Inspire Themes For EPB Holiday Windows

  • Monday, November 24, 2014

The imagination and talents of Hamilton County STEM School students will be on display when EPB reveals its downtown holiday windows on Thanksgiving eve.

This year’s theme, “Holiday Showcase: Bringing it to Life,” was inspired by some friendly competition between four STEM School teams. They combined light arrays and acrylics to tell time-honored holiday stories with a snow man factory, gingerbread house construction site, candy cane lab, Santa scene and ice castle.

“We had so much fun with the STEM students,” said EPB resource planning manager Angela Taylor. “The kids learned how to take a concept and build something really special that our entire community will love.”

EPB welcomes families to enjoy the revealing of the Holiday Windows on the Broad and Market Street sides of the company’s downtown building on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Public parking is available at EPB’s downtown garage with entry from 10th Street between Market and Broad Streets.

The EPB holiday windows have been a downtown Chattanooga tradition spanning seven decades. They will remain open for the community to enjoy through Jan. 2.
