Lois Norton Carson, 92, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, November 24, 2014.  

She was born in Carrollton, Ga., on Sept. 2, 1922, to Oliver Turner Norton and Lola Kelley Norton. Mrs. Carson was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and formerly a member of Central Baptist Woodmore.

She was retired as a bookkeeper with Mike Bartow and Associates and enjoyed sewing, ceramics and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Carson, her parents and seven siblings.

Survivors include her sons, Greg (Laura) Carson and Tim (Angie) Carson; six grandchildren, Wendy (Travis) Donley, Kacey Carson, T J Carson, Robert (Lindsey) Carson, Jonathan (Hannah) Carson and Melissa (Rev. Tim) Lien; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Grady Norton and Michael Norton; two sisters, Frances Lindsey and Valeria McAdams; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Reverend John Pratt officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.  

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, and 1:30–2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
