Fred William "Bill" Simpson
Fred William "Bill" Simpson, 69, of East Ridge, died on Thursday, November 20, 2014.
He was a charter member of Heritage Pointe Baptist Church in Ringgold, retired from the City of Chattanooga in 2009 after 31 years of service, loved blue grass gospel, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Regina Simpson and parents, Fred L. and Bonnie L. Simpson.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Tracy Brown; son, David (Tammy) Simpson; step-children, Gina Eldridge, Jessie (Wanda) Harvey; sisters, Helen Edwards and Cathy (Thomas) Fleeman; special and dear friends, Donna Harrell and Leisha Espy; uncle and pal, Carl Simpson; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, in the funeral home chapel, with Reverend Neal Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, and prior to the service on Monday.
