Lee University To Host 5K For Girls On The Run

  • Friday, November 21, 2014

Lee University will have over 130 girls from 13 different Chattanooga and Cleveland schools on campus for the Girls on the Run 2014 5K celebration on Saturday. The event will allow the girls to showcase their confidence by achieving the long term goal of completing the race, said officials, and will take place at 9 a.m. at Lee University, 1120 N. Ocoee St.

Girls on the Run is a program that gives young girls in the community the chance to work together to reach a long term goal of completing a 5K. This year the girls are “Super Thankful” for the support of their family, friends and community that will participate or cheer for them as they run, and will be sporting superhero capes and tutus as they cross the finish line.
