Don Quarles
Don Quarles, 71, of Harrison, died on Thursday, November 20, 2014.
He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area graduating from Kirkman High School in 1962. After his high school graduation, Don studied at Tennessee Tech receiving a B.S. in Education and also studied at UTC receiving his master’s degree in Psychology. Don began his career teaching school in the Walker County School System. He retired from the Catoosa County School System in 1996 after teaching Psychology at Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School for over 27 years. Don was a member of the Bayside Baptist Church where he had taught Sunday School for many years and was currently attending the Dunlap First Baptist Church. His passions in life were his family, teaching, an avid computer enthusiast, and he also enjoyed reading Western Novels by Louis L’Amour, and Christian books.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Quarles, Jr. and Irene Vineyard Quarles; and brother, Leonard Quarles.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Linda Quarles; brother, William Ray Quarles of Rossville; two nephews, William Ray Quarles, Jr. and Jae Stone; and two nieces, Susan Denise Quarles and Jennifer Quarles.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Leroy Spinks and Reverend Jeremy Byrd officiating.
Interment will follow in the TN-GA Memorial Park with Jerry Jones, J.L. Jones, Bob Allen, Larry Williams, Ben Hardin, and David Giesel serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
