Luken Announces Launch Date For Combat Report

All New TUFF TV Original Scripted Series To Launch Jan. 24

  • Wednesday, November 19, 2014

Luken announced Wednesday that Combat Report, a WWII action-drama series, will premiere exclusively on TUFF TV Saturday, Jan. 24.

Combat Report is a WWII action-drama that follows a team of GIs as they fight their way across France in pursuit of an enemy.  The cast is led by Bob McKeehen (Grimm, Leverage), Grant Alan (Wizards of Waverly Place, CSI:NY, Lie To Me), Brad Schmidt (House Of Lies, Joey, Summerland) and Joshua St. James (Grimm, Leverage, SEAL Patrol).  These solders were called upon to perform special operations before the existence of groups like the Green Berets and Navy SEALs.

Although originally slated to debut in November, Combat Report's launch was postponed to allow for additional scenes. As the first season started to take shape in the edit suite, series creator Thad T. Smith was presented with the opportunity to add additional cast members and characters that would propel the series seamlessly into its second season.

"Working around schedules of sought after talent is always a challenge for production, but I believe that good things come to those who wait, so we postponed the initial airing of Combat Report's first season to accommodate the filming schedules of these exciting cast members," Mr. Smith said. "I am sure viewers will enjoy the added value in these young stars as they add so much to the story and excitement of the series."

"We're proud to partner with One Eighty Films and X Factor Entertainment to bring such a powerful, dynamic story to the viewers of TUFF TV," said Terri Coyle, Luken's director of programming.  "Combat Report presents such an authentic portrait of the greatest generation, we know the audience will embrace it like we have."

Combat Report has been developed and produced by One Eighty Films, creators of the critically-acclaimed WWII drama Everyman's War (2010). Everyman's War won the G.I. Film Festival "Best Narrative Film" award and has been distributed in 43 countries and translated into five languages.  Although Combat Report's story is different and harder-hitting, viewers can count on the same realistic, high-quality production values as seen in Everyman's War, said officials.
