Charles P. Pirkle, 81, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at his home.
He was a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Bell South Telephone Company after 30 years of service. He volunteered at the children’s shelter home and enjoyed gardening and spending time on his tractor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor M. and Mellie Vaughn Pirkle; and one brother, Robert Pirkle.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Pirkle of Cleveland; five children, Sherrie Pirkle Gentry, Nancy Pirkle Cipponeri, Charles, Pirkle, Jr., Patricia Pirkle Seal and Daniel Pirkle; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
