Willie Faye Helton, age 86, of Summerville, Georgia, died on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Helton was born August 13, 1928, in Jasper, Ga., daughter of the late Edge and Minnie Singleton Timms. She was a faithful member of the Berryton Bible Mission for 46 years, and prior to her retirement, she was employed with Best Manufacturing where she received three awards for no missed days of work. She was also a member of the Best Quarter Century Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carlton Lee Millican; second husband, Thurmond Pete Helton; brothers, Robert Timms, J. D. Timms, Leon Timms, and Tommy Timms; a sister, Lora Padgett; a daughter, Patsy Thompson; and a grandson, Joel Thompson.
Mrs. Helton is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Carlton Rickey Millican, Ronnie Lamar and Pam Millican; a daughter and sons-in-law, Robbin Elaine and Jimmy Brookshire, and Jimmy Thompson; brothers and sister-in-law, Tommy Ronnie and Barbara Timms, James Luther Timms; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Helton will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerry Rutledge and Reverend Tom Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Todd Spears, Jason Hampton, James Rutledge, Matt Angus, Jeremy Jackson, and Larry Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies of the Berryton Christian Center.
Mrs. Helton will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30.
