Consulate Health Care along with Boyd’s Speedway and other area sponsors will host the inaugural “A Race to Remember” taking place on Saturday, Nov. 22, at Boyd’s Speedway. Gates will open at 4 p.m. with the race beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the gate. Grandstand seating is $12, tickets in the pit are $24.

“We are excited for the inaugural “A Race to Remember,” says Doug Malin, executive director of Consulate Health Care. “Many of our residents are living with Alzheimer’s so we have a vested interest in the Alzheimer’s Association and their vision of a world without Alzheimer’s. I am thankful for the support of our donors and the community and look forward to the event.”

Those with loved ones dealing with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or another dementia are encouraged to visit the Consulate Health Care booth to purchase a forget-me-not in honor or in memory of their loved one. Proceeds from forget-me-not sales will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Concessions and T-shirts will also be available for purchase.

“It is always exciting to work with local facilities on new events that will help us raise funds to provide the programs and services that are needed to assist families and their loved ones,” says Senior Vice President Cindy Lowery.

Boyd’s Speedway is at 1481 Scruggs Road in Ringgold.  Questions about the event or about how to make a donation should be directed to Consulate Health Care’s Event Coordinator Ali Carson at 892-1716.
