The Covenant men's soccer team wrapped up the 2014 regular season in style on Tuesday night at Piedmont. The Scots eased past the host Lions 4-1 for their fifth straight victory and in the process clinched the No. 2 seed heading into the USA South tournament.

Covenant finishes 8-1-1 in conference play and will play the No.

After Piedmont's Vincent Thomas cut the Scots' lead to 3-1 in the 72nd minute, Noah Wiersema capped the scoring on the night with his third goal of the season, assisted by Danny Knight, in the 73rd minute.

Covenant keeper Daniel Kubin made three saves as he picked up his 12th win of the year. Piedmont (7-11, 4-6 USA South) keeper Kenneth Hearn made 10 saves in the losing effort. Covenant outshot the Lions 23-7.
