Ernest Ray Land, 75, of the Pleasant Grove Community in Dalton, GA, passed away Friday, October 24, 2014 at Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Emma Brock Land; two sisters, Helen Dugger and Louise Tyson; and two brothers, Harold and Lamar Land.
He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Hackney Land of the residence; daughter, Stacey Aaron of the Pleasant Grove community; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Tammy Land of Dalton; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Marvin Bledsoe and Helen Duncan Land all of Dalton, Elaine Roberts of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Christopher and Brittany Aaron of Dalton; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 28, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenny Ott officiating. Burial will be at Varnell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Monday, October 27, from 5-8 p.m.
