Lawson, Ruby Ynette Cox (Chatsworth)

Ruby Ynette Cox Lawson, 94, of Chatsworth, GA, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Gordon Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late John and Olivia Overby Cox; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Lawson Sr.; sons, John M. Lawson and Kenneth D. Lawson; great-grandson, Terry C. Bates; and all of her brothers and sisters.

Ruby was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles Lawson Jr. and Sandra of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Bridget D. (Ricky) Reed of Dalton, Terri L. (Allen) Davenport of Dalton and Charles David (Kristy) Lawson of Sharpsburg, GA; great-grandchildren, Marrisa (Jacob) Richards, Keisha Lawson and Hannah Lawson; great-great-grandchildren, Austin Brown, Skylar Brown, Madilyn Richards, and Kaibren Lawson; nieces and nephews; and special friend, Lillian Benton of Chatsworth.

Funeral Services will be at Love Funeral Home on Sunday, October 26 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. James Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 25 from 6-8 p.m. at Love Funeral Home.

Love Funeral Home, 1402 N. Thornton Ave. Dalton (across from Hamilton Medical Center) is in charge of arrangements.
