Katie Irene Rymer Suits, 96, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in a local health care facility.
She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she was the oldest member. She was a homemaker and partner to her husband’s ministries for many years.
Mrs. Suits was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Doyle James Suits; sons, Bobby Eugene Suits, Billy Suits and James DeWitt Suits; father, Mike Rymer; daughter-in-law, Barbara Peters; and siblings, Arthur Rymer, Willie Rymer, Broughton Rymer, Morris Rymer, Paul Rymer, Annie Smith and Nina Rymer.
She is survived by her; daughter-in-law, Margaret “Meg” Campbell and husband, Bill Campbell of Cleveland; six grandchildren, Jennifer Albert of Detroit, MI, Jill Durham of Cleveland, Joy Perrin of Knoxville, Tracy Stephens of Washington, DC; Wade Suits of Cleveland and Zach Suits of Knoxville; brother, Roy Rymer of Naples, FL; sister-in-law, Louise Suits of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, October 24, at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Reverend Steve Huff officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Justin Durham, Logan Durham, Zach and Wade Suits, Jill Durham, Joy Perrin and Tracey Stephens serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. Friday, october 24 at the church prior to the service.
