Sewell, Mary Edell (Cleveland)

Mary Edell Sewell, 97, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 in a local health care facility.

Mrs. Sewell was the daughter of the late Lena Tallent Graves and William Graves; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Sewell; her daughter, Barbara Quandt; her granddaughter, Wendy Moore; her grandsons, Bobby Ray Smith, Kamron Sewell and Gabe Moore; her daughter-in- law, Peggy Sewell; her brothers, Jim and Henry Graves; and her sisters, Bessie Louminhouser, Edith Lemons, Betty Mazelin and Nellie Green.

Mrs. Sewell was retired Seamstress with J. H. Kellman Company with 15 years of service. She loved to fish and travel with her sisters. Mrs. Sewell loved going to church and she was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Don Sewell and his wife Jimmie and Bill Sewell all of Cleveland; her 11 grandchildren; her 16 great grandchildren; her 20 great-great-grandchildren; her son-in-law, Ken Quandt of Fort Wayne, IN; her sister-in-law, Ida Cartwright of Cleveland; her sisters, Elsie Marshall of Knoxville and Dorothy Dowell of Dresden, TNl and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Tuesday, October 21, at 1 p.m. from the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Bert Beria officiating. Interment will follow in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Mike, Tracy, Scott and Todd Sewell, Dustin Dailey and Kelly Thurman serving as casket bearers.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, October 20 at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.
