Marvin Tate Seritt, 77, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Monday, October 20, 2014, at his home.
He was born in Knoxville, on Aug. 5, 1937, and was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Tate Seritt and Helen Christine Smith Seritt.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired as human resource manager with Roper Corporation. Marvin loved to dance and was active, with his wife, for many years in both square and round dancing.
Survivors include his wife, Fran Seritt, sister, Yulanda Seritt Rogers, both of Chattanooga, 14 nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Alexian Brothers, PACE Program or to the Chattanooga Humane Society.
