Ronald Stephen Deal, 64, of Cleveland, TN, died on Saturday, October 18, 2014, with his loving and devoted wife Barbara at his side.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Hattie Lois Walden and Johnny Martin Deal; his siblings, Hattie Marie Deal, Johnny Wayne Deal, Edward Leon Deal, Thomas Henry Deal, Nancy Kathline “Kathy” Deal and Albert Leon Deal.
Ronald was originally from Copperhill, TN and was born at Doc Hicks’ Clinic. Ronald was a decorated officer in the 101st Airborne during the Vietnam War.
Ronald is survived by two sons, Carlie H. Tankersley “Judy” and Ronnie H. Tankersley; two granddaughters, Brittney and Brooke; a grandson, Brandon Tankersley; a great-grandson, Jaxon Tankersley; his brother, Vance Freddie Deal; his sisters, Nancy “Beatrice” Deal and Betty Kathline Deal; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at Mt. Harmony Church Cemetery in Copperhill, TN, at 2 p.m. Monday, October 20, with Rev. Guinn Green officiating.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga for their wonderful care and to all who gave Ronald their love and prayers.
