Sovee Named One Of "100 Companies That Matter Most” In Online Video

  • Wednesday, October 15, 2014

Sovee, a global video translation technology company headquartered in Chattanooga, has been named one of the “100 Companies that Matter Most in online video” by Streaming Media for the second year in a row.

The list of top industry influencers was published in the October/November issue of Streaming Media magazine and is posted online. The publication also features Sovee President Scott Gaskill in an executive “View from the Top” outlook on impactful industry trends.

“Sovee is honored to be recognized by the leading experts in the video industry,” Mr. Gaskill notes. “Especially at a time when changing economic and technology trends have moved video translation from 'nice to have' to a 'must have' for most businesses.

“At Sovee, we have seen significant increases in demand for translation to Chinese, Spanish,
Japanese, German and Arabic. We have also seen an overall increase in the number of languages companies request for translation, including Russian, Hindu, Indonesian and Urdu.”

Sovee’s Smart Engine technology offers advantages for businesses, when compared
to other translation options, said officials. The Smart Engine can learn a company’s brand, industry and product terminology preferences for translation, which allows companies to control the level of accuracy in their translated content.

Sovee offers a complete end-to-end video translation solution, including video transcription, Closed Captioning, subtitles and/or human-like synthetic voice. The company also offers professional localization, verification and post-editing services from native-speaking translators.
