I am proud of Jim Bethune for his display of outstanding restraint and dignity through a barrage of negative attacks via social media. Up to and including personal threats via the East Ridge neighborhood watch Facebook. Which by the way in my mind should be a citizens watch group and not a political bashing platform.
For the record Jim has never voted for a tax increase nor will he. Jim and Denny Manning are the only members of the Council who can say that . The growth the city has seen is remarkable and will continue to grow under Jim's leadership.
Despite all of the bogus false statement via social media Jim is of the highest morals and standards and will continue to do what is right. He makes me proud to say he is my father and hero. The city needs leadership like him continue on the right path.
