Helen Bertha Leffew, 75, of Dayton, TN, died Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Erlanger in Chattanooga.
She was born April 30, 1939 in Green Bay, WI to the late Maurice and Hazel (Gentz) Jorgensen; and was also preceded in death by her husband Nathern Eugene Leffew.
A resident of Dayton since 1996, she retired as an office assistant in a podiatrist clinic. She enjoyed home decorating and shopping. She was a member of Dayton First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.
Helen is survived by her five sons, Michael Leffew of Milwaukee, WI, Steven (Kimberly) Leffew of Bensenville, IL, Gary Leffew of NJ, Alan (Holly) Leffew of Franklin Park, IL and Paul (Anna) Leffew of Columbus, O; her sister, Phyllis (Tom) Fulcher of Dayton; adopted daughter, “DJ” Bloxson of Dayton; four grandchildren; one adopted granddaughter; and two adopted great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Helen will be held Thursday, October 16 at 7 p.m. at Dayton First Baptist Church with Rev. Milton Knox officiating.
The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton.
