Velma Pritchett
Velma Arlene Woolf Pritchett, 88 of Rossville, died on Wednesday, October 15, 2014.
She was born in Center Hill, Fl. to the late Hermon and Florence Woolf and had lived in the Miami area for more than 20 years before moving to the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas in the late 60s. She was of the Christian faith and was most recently employed as a waitress at Chubby's Restaurant. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She loved being with family and friends and she unselfishly cared for her mother until her last days.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lee Pritchett and sister, Barbara Gates.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Brad and (Alice) Crain of Oak Hill, Fl.; two grandchildren, Bruce Crain and Emily Trivette; three great-grandchildren, Kyle Bradford Crain, Jacob Burleson and Joshua Burleson; nephew, Carter Gates; nieces, Charla Thomas and Ashley Hahs; special friends, Evelyn and Gary Ramsey, and numerous friends at Chubby's.
A gathering to share stories and celebrate Mrs. Pritchett's life will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, in the funeral home parlor at the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes. Burial will be private.
