Jacquelyn “Jackie” Morgan, 61, of Dalton, GA, died Tuesday morning, September 30, 2014 at her home.

Jackie was born June 26, 1953 in Dalton, to the late Virginia Louise Shoemaker Arrington and Charles Arrington, Jr.  Jackie was employed many years at Shaw Industries and several years at Hamilton Medical Center.  She was an avid Alabama fan and loved NASCAR and her favorite driver was Dale, Jr.  She loved staying in touch with her friends and family on Facebook and playing Farmville.  The true love of her life was caring for her family.    

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Don Morgan of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Chrissie Morgan, Jenny and David Parks, Ashley and Chris Cloer; grandchildren, Eli Roberson, Jeremiah Roberson and his fiancée, Megan Swanson, Joshua and Alisha Roberson, Hannah Parks, Matthew Cloer and Jacob Cloer; great-grandchildren, Haleigh Roberson, Sarah Holcomb, Harper Roberson and Ansleigh Godfrey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Glenda and Perry Long, Rosie and Paul Pieri; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Scott and Cindy Morgan, Chuck and Darline Morgan; aunts, Sally Lebrandt, Sis Williams and Gwilda Gribble; uncle and aunt, Nathan and Mildred Arrington; special nieces and nephews, Dana and David Bragg, Dedra and BB Brown, Macey Morgan, Meg Pieri, Anna Pieri and Mary Beth and John Rand; special family friend, Jimmy Norrell; and her very special companion, her little Australian shepherd, Amos.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Jackie Morgan will be held Friday, October 3, at 1 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ted Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Eli Roberson, Hannah Parks, Jerimah Roberson, Matthew Cloer and Jacob Cloer.

Honorary pallbearer will be Josh Roberson.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, October 2 and after 11 a.m. Friday, October 3

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Christian Bryant Foundation, c/o, Community Foundation of Northwest Georgia, P.O. Box 942, Dalton, GA, 30722.
