23 Lawyers Apply For 2 Magistrate Posts

Twenty-three attorneys have applied for the two vacancies as magistrate (judicial commissioners).

The applicants to the County Commission include incumbents Larry Ables and Jeffrey Davis.

The magistrates set bonds and sign warrants at the county jail. They provide coverage on nights and weekends.

Juvenile Shot On 10th Avenue

Chattanooga Police responded to the 4200 block of 10th Avenue on a report of a person shot. There police located male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Shootout At Brainerd Gas Station Goes On Big Screen In General Sessions Court

A March 20 shootout at a Brainerd gas station was played out on the big screen at General Sessions Court on Tuesday. A new video system was recently installed at the court.
