Foster Care And Adoption Fair Scheduled For Nov. 9

  • Wednesday, October 9, 2013

The Tennessee Valley Office of the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services and other local agencies will sponsor the Tennessee Valley Foster Care and Adoption Fair on Nov. 9 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.  The purpose of the fair is to make the community aware of the need for families to provide permanent homes to waiting children.

At the fair, there will be pictures and videos of children in need of adoptive families along with information about each child.  Local agencies will be available to answer questions and provide additional information.  Also, workshops will be presented that focus on issues of importance to adoptive and foster families.  Current resource parents will receive five in-service training hours for event attendance.
