Top Back For Jacksonville State Out For UTC Game After Drug Charge

A top back for Jacksonville State is out for this weekend's contest with UTC after picking up a drug charge.

Washaun Ealey, a former University of Georgia star, is facing misdemeanor marijuana charges.

That keeps him out of the Chattanooga game, Athletics Director Warren Koegel tsaid, according to the Anniston Star.  

Ealy, 23, was arrested Wednesday at a campus apartment. He is charged with second-degree marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ealey, who rushed for over 1,000 yards for Jacksonville State last season, injured his right knee in the opener against Arkansas.
