Middle Valley Church of God, located at 1703 Thrasher Pike in Hixson, continues its adopted theme for 2012, "Involving Ourselves in 2012." This theme will guide all ministry efforts.
In conjunction with this theme, Pastor Mitch McClure will continue a new series of sermons titled, "It's Rough Out There" this Sunday. Pastor McClure will speak on the topic "Now What Are We Going To Do?" in the 10:30 a.m. service. He stated, "It is a sad fact that our families are under attack. The Biblical pattern of family is being challenged as to structure, function, and daily life. From our children to our senior adults, the church must find ways to strengthen the family. Our services must be designed to encourage the family. All that we do must demonstrate that God loves the family and wants to help family members. Our world has changed and the church must address these issues by returning to Biblical principles of the family."
Pastor McClure will lead the church in a prayer focused service at 6:30 p.m.
