I want to thank the many folks who voted for me during the recent primary. Although I was uncontested in the Democratic primary, there were still about 1,500 who took the time to cast a vote for me. My candidacy for the Tennessee House of Representatives District 26 seat is very grass-roots and not at all well funded. No big donors, no PAC money.
Further, I am taking a stand against the use of yard signs. I believe that they are nothing more than visual pollution and never actually convince voters one way or the other. So, without yard signs, and with no TV or radio advertising, the fact that I drew this many voters is a very good sign for me.
Thanks to all. On to November.
