The Howard Class of 1992 celebrated their 20 year reunion and capped off their weekend of events with a scholarship presentation to fellow alum, Toriana Williams. Ms. Williams will attend Middle Tennessee State University in the fall, with plans to major in Animal Science. She hopes to become a zoologist or veterinarian.
Ms. Williams, a transplant from her native Detroit, Mi., made history this year when she became the second female wrestler in history at the school. She has a 3.5 GPA, and was fourth in her class.
Her advice to other students, “The only person stopping you from being successful is you,” she said. “You have to play your cards right. Don’t hold back on becoming great.”
