Bucs Shutout Chattanooga Christian 41-0

Friday, August 17, 2012
The Bucs of Boyd-Buchanan opened their 2012 football season with a confident 41-0 win over host Chattanooga Christian on Friday.

Four Bucs score rushing touchdowns including John Hale, Rance Harden, Jim Cardwell and Austin Jackson.

Cardwell also had a touchdown pass to Grant Mathis. The Bucs other points came off a fumble return after a blocked punt.

Hale finished 95 yards on 7 carries.  Jackson had 72 yards on 9 carries most in the fourth quarter.

Cardwell was 4 of 8 passing for 56 yards.

The Bucs had 259 rushing yards.

CCS moved the ball well at times but penalties and turnovers kept the Chargers from putting together many sustained drives.

CCS quarterback Levi Corbett was 21 of 33 for 226 yards passing.

Jay Sims had seven receptions for 81 yards and Austin Mansell had 5 for 51 yards.

The Bucs will play East Ridge next week and CCS takes on Lookout Valley.

Scandals At Home And Abroad

Since my hip operation and time in recovery, I have tried to set aside things that are insignificant to me and to average Americans. Don't get me wrong here. What these people are doing (Bengahzi) is despicable be they left or right wing, and they have been doing it (both sides) for a long time. But the dirty deeds themselves carry little weight as to what they mean to you or me. ... (click for more)
