Frances Juanita Nations, 85, of Dalton, GA, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born March 5, 1927 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Joseph Cleve and Isabella Hill Bartenfeld; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Nations; and brothers, Chelsea Bartenfeld, Louie Hill Bartenfeld and J. C. Bartenfeld. 

She is survived by her son, Gary Joyce of Dalton; granddaughter, Anisley and Kile Chaffin; great- granddaughter, Nora Chaffin of Ohio; brothers and sister-in-law, Jerome and Pat Bartenfeld and George Bartenfeld of Dalton; and several nieces and nephews. 

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Frances Juanita Nations will be held Saturday August 18, at 2 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Aaron Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Friday, August 17.

 In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Eastside Baptist Church P. O. Box 734 Dalton GA 30722.

A woman was found dead on Sunday morning at 8912 Lovell Road, and police are seeking a "person of interest" in the case.
