Street Closings Announced For The Weekend

ML King Boulevard between Market Street and Georgia Avenue and Market Street between East 8th Street and ML King Boulevard will be closed from 5:30 p.m.-midnight on Friday, for the Nightfall Concert Series.  The 800 block of Cherry Street will be closed at ML King Boulevard and will only be accessible from East 8th Street. There will be limited handicapped parking in the 900 block of Georgia Avenue on the Miller Park side on the meters covered with Orange "reserved" bags.

South Crest Road from South Seminole Drive and the I-24 overpass to Waheela Drive will be closed from 6-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, for the Missionary Ridge Road Race.

Reggie White Boulevard between West 19th Street and the entrance to the Skate Park, West 19th Street from Reggie White Boulevard to Chestnut Street, and West 17th Street from Chestnut Street to Broad Street will be closed from 4:30 p.m.-midnight on Friday and Saturday, for the High School Jamboree.

Reggie White Boulevard,  between West 19th Street and the entrance to the Skate Park will be closed from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Sunday, for the Chattanooga Market.

An emotional Timothy Westfield on Wednesday told a Criminal Court jury how he was shot and how his friend Bernard Hughes was murdered almost three years ago at the British Woods Apartments.
