Alexis Bogo To Head Memorial Foundation’s Board Of Directors

The Memorial Health Care System Foundation, the fundraising arm of Memorial Health Care System, is announced officers and new members of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.

Alexis Bogo, of the Hamico Foundation, will serve as head of the Memorial Foundation Board of Directors. She previously served as the vice chair.

Holly Harwell, of Keller Williams Realty, will serve as vice chair. Scott Mattice, of Morgan Stanley, is the immediate past chair. Dr. Bill Stacy, retired headmaster of Baylor School, will serve as secretary. Ward Petty, of Benjamin F. Edwards Co., will serve as treasurer, and Dr. Mark Anderson, of Infectious Disease Physicians of Chattanooga and vice chief medical officer at Memorial, will hold the member-at-large post.

New members of the Foundation Board include: Deborah Everhart, a co-chair for the cardiac division of Memorial's Inspired Heroes Campaign, a director of Coca Cola Bottling Company Consolidated (CCBCC) and vice president of Bluepoint One Investments who previously served on the Foundation Board from 2005 to 2011; MaryStewart Lewis, of AT&T, where she is currently the regional director of external and legislative affairs, serving 28 counties in southeast TN; Dawn Shea, a native of New Market, NH who owns Service Electric Company with her husband, Jody; and James Woods, recently retired from SunTrust Bank after twenty-five years with SunTrust's Wealth and Investment Management Group in Chattanooga.

Other board members include:  Tim Ballard, M.D., Sophia Bridger, Tonya Cammon, Boofie Crimmins, Morgan Everett, Kennedy Frierson, Peter Hunt, M.D., James O. Kennedy, Carol McCamish, Bill Oellerich, M.D., Christopher Ramsey, Sr., Tahnika Rodriguez, Sanford Sharp, M.D., BettyeLynn Smith, Father Jim Vick and Mike Webb. Ex-officio members are Jennifer Nicely, Memorial Foundation President and Chief Development Officer at Memorial; and James M. Hobson, Memorial President and CEO. 


Grand Opening Held For New Meigs North Elementary Walking Track

Meigs North Elementary School celebrated the grand opening of its new walking track on Monday. Man Stabbed To Death After Argument

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night. At approximately 11 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a stabbing at 101 E 20 th St. where they found the victim, Alexis Lewis, 51, lying on the walkway with a fatal stab wound to his chest.
