I Was Shocked To See How Filthy The Chickamauga Dam Swimming Area Has Become - And Response

Monday, July 02, 2012
I visited the Chickamauga Dam swimming area over the weekend and I was in shock to see how filthy nasty that place has become. The bathrooms were so nasty that I almost vomited while I was in there. There were two dirty pair of girls/women panties up and down the sidewalk area that led to the water. There were garbage cans running over with trash. I remember the days of leaving school and coming to the Dam to lay out in the sun, swim and hang with friends. It was really nice back then. I hope to see this one day become a nice place to go. Until then, I will never step on those grounds again.

I agree with Mr. Turner that that swimming area at the Dam, that used to be a great place to visit, has in general turned into a nasty bathroom.  What a beautiful place with wonderful memories that is now trashed.  The only people to blame are the ones using it, as obviously they don’t have any couth or respect for this landscape and its facilities.

TVA should charge people to use this area and then maybe the users will gain respect for this once wonderful place or not come.  An alternative to charging would be for TVA posting security agents and arrest those with disrespect to the property and its facilities.

Until then its time to find a new watering hole.

Questionable Moc Coaching Choices - And Response (2)

David Blackburn proved that he rolled an elder vice chancellor to hire Will Wade. I can't find one game Wade coached. Should we think he is a better coach than the Georgia coach that won the SEC? At least four jobs were open in and around Wade's hometown, Nashville. No one mentioned his name. While Blackburn was preaching in the Chattanoogan Room about the fairness of the ... Clowns - And Response (3)

Back in 1973 Stephen Sondheim wrote a song for a Broadway play he titled Send in The Clowns. It subsequently became popular fare for many artists including Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey and others, becoming a popular hit, twice, for '60's activist and protester Judy Collins. I first thought of it as just another boring, elevator music attempt by a former HippyChic to pump up her ... (click for more)

Baylor Advances With 6-5 Thriller Over GPS In Softball

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The last time Baylor and GPS played softball here at the Starplex, it was about a year ago and the Division II state championship was on the line. Baylor ended up winning that game by a 6-3 final as they celebrated their second straight state title.
