Camp Jordan Hosts BPA World Series

The Baseball Players Association World Series held Opening Ceremonies at Camp Jordan Tuesday night leading into pool play games Wednesday morning.

 U-7 through U-18 teams will be participating in the tournament Wednesday through Sunday. Pool play games are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday followed by bracket play Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Shipman Sends Lady Vol Softball To Super Regional

Spring Fling Tennis Brackets Are Set

Led by two-time defending state champion Baylor girls, six Chattanooga teams will compete this week in the BlueCross Spring Fling XX state tennis tournament at Old Fort Park in Murfreesboro. Federal Agents Seize Almost $6.8 Million From Bank Accounts Of Physician; Says He Has Submitted False Medicare Claims

Federal authorities have seized almost $6.8 million from bank accounts of an area physician. They said Dr. Raymond Sean Brown has submitted false Medicare claims. Woman Found Dead On Lovell Road; Police Looking For Terry Releford

A woman was found dead on Sunday morning at 8912 Lovell Road, and police are seeking a "person of interest" in the case. Deputies responded to that location at approximately 8 a.m. on a suspicious death. On arrival "deputies found a dead female in her 30s deceased from an apparent homicide."
