Body Found In Wooded Area Off Ooltewah/Georgetown Road

A body was found late Monday morning in woods in the Ooltewah area.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division was called around 11:10 a.m. to the 9000 block of Ooltewah/Georgetown Road.

Investigators are waiting to receive the report from the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office on positive identification and cause of death.

Additional information will be released at that time.

The criminal investigation has been completed by the CPD Family Violence Unit; however, the internal affairs investigation is still ongoing.
