Sheriff's Office Recovers Stolen Property Taken In Hixson Burglaries

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office received numerous theft complaints that occurred over the last several days in the 6800 block of Captains Way, Hixson. 

On Saturday at approximately 4 a.m. one of the complainants called to say a small brown truck was driving slowly through the neighborhood with men getting in and out of the truck.  They were observed approaching vehicles parked in driveways in the neighborhood.  Deputies located the truck on another street in the neighborhood and, as they approached the vehicle on the driver's side, observed what appeared to be a large amount of items in and around the driver.

 

At this time, there are 23 reported thefts/burglaries in this neighborhood.  Detectives are working on sorting and cataloging the recovered property, which consists of everything from sunglasses to GPS equipment.   The investigation is on-going and several arrests are expected to be made.

The recovered property was being held in the evidence processing bay located at the HCSO West Annex, 6233 Dayton Blvd.

State Soccer Brackets Released
