Dalton Police Seek Man In Burglary, Auto Theft

The Dalton Police Department is asking for information from the public regarding the whereabouts of Jeremy Lorenzo Arteaga, 22.  He is wanted in connection with a burglary and auto theft that happened on June 27.  Arteaga’s last known address was 205 Windy Hill Drive in Rocky Face.


The incident happened on June 27 between noon and 1:45 p.m. The two victims in the case left their house at 604 Richardson Street to get lunch. When they returned, they saw that their other car, a 2002 silver Nissan Altima, was missing from the driveway. They also found that their front door was unlocked.  When they entered the house, they found that it appeared to be ransacked, and the back door had been kicked open. In addition to the missing Altima, they also found that a laptop computer, a flat screen TV, an iPhone, and an X-Box were missing. 


Investigators working the case received a tip that Arteaga was involved in the incident, and after following up on several leads they obtained warrants for his arrest.

Dalton Police Seek Suspect In Motorcycle Theft

The Dalton Police Department is asking for help from the public in identifying a suspect in the April theft of a motorcycle from the parking lot of an area credit union. The incident was recorded by surveillance cameras, but only the van used in the crime was captured. The suspects could not be seen.
