Charles N. Henderson, 82, of Cleveland, TN, passed away at a Chattanooga Hospital on Monday July 16, 2012.
He was of the Christian faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Allied Bendix Corporation after thirteen years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lilly Mae Dyer Henderson; and brothers, Conway, Wallace, Doug and Hoyt Henderson.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Suits Henderson; children, Deniece Scott and husband Gary of Bryson City, NC, Chuck Henderson and wife Sandra of Cleveland, Karen Boltniew and husband Victor of Cleveland and Renee Yarbrough and husband Bruce of Cleveland; seven grandchildren, Cassie Hall and husband Travis, Ben Henderson, Rachel Boltniew, Abby Boltniew, Ryan Boltniew, Shelby Yarbrough and Dexter Yarbrough; and sisters, Helen Gee of Cleveland, Mildred Muse of Resaca, GA and Louise Kephart of Dalton, GA.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday July 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Reverend Joe Collins officiating. Chuck Henderson, Gary Scott, Victor Boltniew, Bruce Yarbrough, Ben Henderson and Travis Hall will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Boltniew and DexterYarbrough. The service will conclude with military honors and a white dove release ceremony.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 18, from 5-8 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
