Madeline Miller will speak about “Flourishing where we are planted” at the Scenic City Women’s Network luncheon on Thursday, Aug. 23, at First Baptist Church, 401 Gateway Ave., from noon to 1 p.m.
Mrs. Miller is a teacher, administrator, and Bible study leader. She received her bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and worked for the IBM Corporation as a marketing representative and systems engineer. Madelene earned a master’s degree from Tennessee Temple University in education. Mrs. Miller has been a teacher for the deaf, a middle school teacher, a Christian school administrator, and a trainer for Child Evangelism Fellowship. She has also served on the boards of several local nonprofit organizations.
During an “Expanding Your borders” campaign for New Covenant, Mrs. Miller asked God what she could give Him. He showed her He wanted to use the skills He had developed in her for the ministry at New Covenant Fellowship Church. She is currently director of Children’s Ministries for New Covenant Fellowship, is on the planning committee for the Women’s Ministry, and Director of the Deaf Ministry. She is the wife of Pastor Bernie Miller and they have one son, Zachary.
