Ethan Martin Gets Seventh Win As Lookouts Shutout M-Braves, 1-0

PEARL, MS-The Chattanooga Lookouts defeated the Mississippi Braves 1-0 in front of 3,538 fans at Trustmark Park Thursday evening. The series continues at 7:00 PM Friday .

Ethan Martin (7-3) held the M-Braves to just four hits and four strikeouts in seven innings of work. Logan Bawcom (S, 9) gave up one hit and struck out one in the ninth to convert the save.

The M-Braves had five hits on the night while Chattanooga scored one run on five hits. Joe Leonard had three of the five Braves' hits and finished the game a home run shy of the cycle.

The game's only run came in the fourth. Blake Smith led off the frame with a triple before scoring on a J.T. Wise ground out, giving the Lookouts a 1-0 lead.

Zeke Spruill (5-8) worked six and two-thirds innings for the M-Braves. He limited the Lookouts to one earned run on four hits and four walks while striking out nine batters.

Right-hander David Hale (6-3, 3.81) toes the rubber in game four of this five-game series against the Lookouts. He'll counter righty Matt Magill (5-4, 5.03).
