Pachuca FC Stars Light Up Chattanooga

Thursday, June 28, 2012

The stars will be out at Finley Stadium on July 7 as Mexican Fútbol giants Pachuca and Club America will be facing off at 8 p.m.

A partial roster for Pachuca FC was released today by Soccer World Sports: USA international starter (and Pachuca vice-captain) Jose Torres, Mexican national star Nery Castillo, newly acquired Spanish La Liga striker Raul Tamudo (formerly with Espanyol), superstar midfielder Alberto Medina (nicknamed “El Venado” by his fans), and team captain Leobardo Lopez.

Pachuca will be led by their new head coach Hugo Sanchez. Adrienne Weisman, Soccer World Sports' Chief Operating Officer, stated that "it is going to be a very special event in Chattanooga. The fact that Hugo has designated these players to come for this game, shows how serious a friendly can be."

Fans will recall that Club America eliminated Pachuca from the title run just a few months ago. A list of players scheduled to appear for Club America will be released shortly, added Weisman.

Tickets for Pachuca vs. Club America are on sale now at www.ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices range from $35 to $45. Gates open at 6 p.m.
