This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Chattanooga Girls Choir. Since 1987, the Chattanooga Girls Choir has been providing girls in the greater Chattanooga area with an opportunity to enrich and supplement their music education and further develop their vocal skills through the rehearsal and performance of quality choral music. The organization's five levels of choirs frequently perform for community events, civic organizations, and in formal concerts throughout the year.
The organization has been providing a choral music experience for girls ranging from grades three-12. Beginning in August the CGC is adding a Musicianship Class for first and second graders. The Musicianship Class will give beginning students a strong musical foundation in a small, pressure-free class. The curriculum is designed for the students to experience music through singing, listening, musical games, and movement. The girls will learn basic musical concepts and develop skills in an active, nurturing and fun environment.
