Stewart, Josie Mae Kirk (South Pittsburg)

Josie Mae Kirk Stewart, 93, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, died on Friday, June 22, 2012 in a local health care facility.

She attended Battle Creek Baptist Church and spent much of her time quilting, cooking and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Hazel Bass Kirk and seven siblings.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Bradford of South Pittsburg and Ellen Jones of Bridgeport, Ala.; grandchildren, Donna Bradford of Winston-Salem, N.C., Brenda Durham of Crossroads, Tn., Paul Jones of Bridgeport, Ala., and Cindy Hale of Castlewood, Va.; three great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Durham, LeAnn Durham and Caleb Murray; great-great-granddaughter, Makenna Murray; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday, June 24, with Reverend Jeff Nelson officiating.  Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, June 23, from 5-9 p.m. CT at the funeral home.

Betty Faye Williamson, 54, of Copperhill, died on May 16, 2013.  She was born in Salisbury, N..,C and raised in Chattanooga. She worked at Animal Clinic East for 12 years and was a big animal lover. Man Stabbed To Death After Argument

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night.
